Least favorite character: Gilgamesh
Ok lemme explain before writing me off on this one, Gill has a great design, cool powers, and a decent backstory. He is just a giant, misogynistic, amoral, jerk for most of the series. I find many villeins to be likeable, Kotomine or Caster Medea for example, but Gil had no redeeming value beyond looking superficially cool. More specifically, his treatment of Saber is more in the line of abusive/stalker boyfriend then anything remotely romantic, with fanart and fic portraying it as being romantic making me a bit nerd angry, and I’ve seen enough of that shit in my own life to remotely like a character with the same traits. Maybe if we ever see Gil as he is in Strange/Fake, with Ekindu in tow, or if he is enough fun to play as in Fate/Extra ccc I might change my mind.

This is honestly hard, I love alot of fate characters and this came down to a toss up between Illya, Irisviel, Caster Medea, and Caster Extra. But in the end Illya’s cuteness, and surprising maturity in Heaven’s Feel and her awesome spin-off series win the day. So yeah, go check out the Prism Illya manga, which is going to be an anime soon.
My only Illya related gripe is that her route was folded into Sakura’s to make Heaven’s Feel. To quote a poster on a certain Type-Moon board, it seemed like Shirou was in love with Illya but having sex with Sakura.
